It comprises of a mattress pad made from 100% polyester (Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certified No FR treatment) padding to form the surrounding bumper that cocoons baby, and a removable cover. It’s made from breathable and hypoallergenic material that is washable – essential for something a baby will be sleeping in day in day out and the filling has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. In a nutshell, the Sleepyhead is a deluxe portable baby bed, a sleep pod that offers your baby a sense of security when they sleep, allowing them to feel like they’re still in the womb or better yet, snuggled in their Mamas arms. It wasn’t until I put him in it on his first night at home that I realised how much I’d rely on it and now two months in, I don’t know what we’d do without it! I mainly wanted it because everyone had it I didn’t really know the benefits or have a particular need for it but many a blogger had shared their love for it and therefore I needed it. This was either because they weren’t out at the time, I didn’t know about them or they were simply too pricey/ not essentials. This time around though, being potentially my last baby, I was determined to buy everything I hadn’t tried before and the product that was first on my list – the Sleepyhead. When I fell pregnant with Jenson I made a list of all of the products I wanted to buy that I’d never used with Jasper.
